Through an exclusive agreement with The Scotts Company, Fafard will now be able to nourish its mixes with Osmocote® Start:

• Provides complete and balanced feeding for up to six weeks
• Small prill size ensures excellent distribution and uniform results
• Eliminates mixing and feeding mistakes associated with
water-soluble fertilizers (WSFs)
• Reduces nitrogen run-off and leaching
• Promotes better root development

Best for use on crops with a shorter growth cycle such as marigolds, begonias, vincas and impatiens, Fafard Growing Mixes with Osmocote® Start give growers cost savings plus control over many aspects of their business.

Based on research by Fafard and Scotts, growers can eliminate applying water-soluble nutrients to their short-term crops — along with the labor and error issues associated with that time-consuming practice — and grow a vigorous crop. In addition, the new Fafard Mixes with Osmocote® Start will supply plants with a limited nutrient charge after growers ship them to the retailer.

Osmocote® Start is a second-generation, fully coated, complete N-P-K plus micronutrients controlled-release fertilizer. It has a pre-defined longevity of six weeks with excellent performance at a lower application rate.

Osmocote® Start is available solely through Fafard in its loose-filled and compressed mixes.
